Only a small part of the coconut oil produced worldwide is obtained by cold pressing. Organic coconut oil is therefore still a speciality on the market. It has a pleasant, firm consistency that only changes above room temperature. However, cold-pressed coconut oil has long since conquered its regular place in upmarket cuisine as well as among vegetarians and vegans. It is part of world cuisine and gives recipes from tropical countries their original aroma. Native coconut oil as a basis and ingredient for cosmetic products is also finding more and more lovers among those who prefer quality to quantity. Due to its lauric acid content, this oil is also highly suitable for the cosmetics industry. Animal lovers count not only because of the attributed effect as an insect repellent on coconut oil, it is increasingly used for feed purposes.

Use

Pure in the kitchen, flavored with lemon grass, chili and other spices, organic coconut oil brings the gourmets to its side. It goes particularly well with rice dishes, but also with vegetable pots, meat – especially chicken and lamb – are won over by the aroma of this cold-pressed oil. Due to its spreadable consistency at room temperature, coconut oil is ideal as an ingredient for sweet and savory spreads. It also has the best properties for use: Due to its high smoke point, it is also suitable for roasting and baking. In the production of cosmetics, coconut oil relies on the good properties of lauric acids. It is a suitable ingredient or even the base substance for shampoos, hair conditioners, soap and shaving soap, sun protection products, massage oils and much more. Among dog owners, coconut oil is an insider tip against insects, especially annoying ticks. Both the addition of organic coconut oil to the feed and the application on the coat are supposed to have an effect. But even without this attributed property, coconut oil is a valuable food supplement in animal feed.
