The flesh of the coconut freshly consists almost half of water. A little of it is sold fresh. Usually the pulp is dried or processed in other ways, for example to coconut milk, paste or coconut oil. When dried, the loss of water per 100 g results in a higher fat content, but also in protein, minerals and vitamins. The white dried fruit flesh also forms the basis for further processing. Oil is pressed from it or margarine is produced, paste is produced and last but not least the popular coconut flakes, which are also known as coconut flakes.
Coconut flakes are an important raw material in confectionery production. Coconut confectionery, coconut chocolate, pralines and coconut bars are popular with young and old. Christmas baking without coconut flakes would be poorer, because coconut macaroons, but also other biscuits become tasty and juicy thanks to this ingredient. Our organic coconut flakes taste good in muesli and give tea blends an exotic touch. Fruit salads and jam are excitingly different when coconut flakes are on the ingredients list. Coconut flakes also appreciate modern, creative cuisine, but also full-fledged cuisine. They are used in sauces, go well with rice and vegetables and give meatballs such as vegetable roasts a loose consistency and at the same time the right bite. Consumers appreciate organic grated coconut for the production of coconut milk and as an ingredient in smoothies.
